Last year the CARNABY COLLECTIVE team launched an idea of one amazing prize pool
promotion for shopping local in New Brighton
The concept is “BRIGHTON UP YOUR CHRISTMAS” where participating businesses donated a gift to a main prize pool.
Last year’s inaugural promotion for the New Brighton retail and service community created fantastic feedback from participants and customers alike.
It included coverage on local billboards, newspapers and across social media and it’s an effective way to promote small businesses by pooling resources.
There were 2 major prize winners and an additional 10 more prize packs won and a total prize pool of over $3000.
Christmas 2022 is expected to be bigger and it is hoped more retailers will participate

Promotion starts Dec 1st but the Collective would like to have participating stores finalized soon.
Donated Prize: To be involved it is expected your business will donate a prize, there is no minimum value on this as every New Brighton shop or service should be able to participate.
Last year donations ranged from $20 up to $200 in value.
Previous prize examples have been a voucher for your store, retail products you sell made into a gift hamper, memberships, vouchers for a specific service etc. Hence this could be anything from accountancy/art to zip replacements.
Once signed up all you need to do is sharing the ‘Brighton Up Christmas’ promotion to potential customers anyway you can.
The Carnaby Collective will give you posters for your window as well a shout out on social media – it’s ideal if you also give us information regarding Christmas promotions, late night shopping, and any details to showcase your business!
Hand out an entry form to your customers, share the ‘Carnaby Collective’ posts – heaps of info will be on here about all the prizes and stores involved. If you are not on Facebook your business will still be promoted.
Competition Details: 1 individual purchase (any value) = 1 entry. We will provide you with a PDF entry form sheet to print off for your customers to fill out.
Each participating business will collect their own entries.
All entries will need to be dropped to the Carnaby Collective by 3pm on Dec 22nd for the main prize draw.
Prizes – these will be collected by one of our team to allow time to organize.
The Carnaby Collective will be organising other events to enhance the shopping experience including a late-night opportunity, and there is a night market on December the 1st from 4pm.
